Betty Davis, 71, wife of Dale Davis of Fort Worth, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at home.
Funeral: 10:00 Wednesday in the Chapel of Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment: 12:30 Thursday at Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs. Visitation: 5-7:00 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Betty was born on January 27, 1946 in Brady, Texas to Wilburn and Cliffair Lummus. Betty’s family roots are tied to Richland Springs and San Saba, TX. She met her husband, Dale Davis, at State Farm Insurance and they were married over 20 years.
She was a proud G-maw who cherished every second spent with her grandchildren and never missed a chance to hug them and show them unconditional love. Her most precious moments were spent giving hugs and showing love to those who meant the most to her. Betty brought joy and happiness to everyone she encountered; there was never a dull moment in her presence. She was a patient, kind, compassionate and loyal leader. She was truly one of a kind.
Betty served almost 40 years with State Farm Insurance Companies and was dedicated in her service and loyalty to a company she loved. Anyone who encountered Betty would say she was a gem and one they would never forget.
Survivors: Betty Davis is survived by her husband, Dale; son, Lonnie (Laura) Jordan of Garland, TX; daughter, Dusti (Erik) Boring of Nevada, TX; stepson, Kurt Davis of Dallas, TX, Keith (Karen) Davis of Weatherford, TX, and Eric Davis of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Nate, Andy, and Ellie of Garland; Audri and Jo Lee of Neveda; Kate and Jack of Dallas; Cheyenne of Weatherford; Adam and Emma of Fort Worth; sister, Carolyn (Don) Mebus of Arlington, TX.
