Betty Auneen Herrold

Betty Auneen Herrold, 87, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2024, in Keller, Texas. She was born to Roy and Cora (Starnes) Bolls in Prescott, Arkansas on February 9th, 1937. Betty's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ. She pursued her education, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School (Baytown, TX) in 1955 and later earning her bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian College in 1959. Betty married the love of her life, Vaughn Herrold, on April 30, 1960, in Stuttgart, Germany. They later moved to Littleton, Colorado where they lived and raised a family for 50 years.

Betty is survived by her brother, Jerry Bolls (Barbara); her daughter, Jana Ault; her sons, Dean Herrold (Denise), Vance Herrold (Kristi); and her adored grandchildren, Zach (Elena) , Trevor, Walker, Aubree, Colton, Dennis, and Devon. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Cora Bolls and husband, Vaughn Herrold.

A graveside service will take place at Liberty Cemetery, 515 Nevada 249, Prescott, Arkansas 71857 on November 2nd, 2024, at 11:00 am. A memorial visitation will be held from 4 pm - 6 pm, Monday, November 4, 2024, at Legacy Church of Christ, 8801 Mid Cities Blvd., North Richland Hills, Texas 76182. 

Betty's zest for life, adventurous spirit, gift of hospitality, and homemade dinner rolls are the beginning of all the things that will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
