Betty Louise Beno Malin

February 17, 1931 — April 10, 2016

Betty Louise Beno Malin (Malinowski), 85, passed into eternity on April 10, 2016 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Betty was born in the Northside of Pittsburgh, PA on February 17, 1931 to Andrew and Julia Beno.

She graduated from Oliver High School in Pittsburgh, PA in 1948. After high school she worked for Allis Chalmers where she met her husband to be, Don Malinowski. They were married in Chicago in 1952. Betty and Don started their family soon after and lived in the Pittsburgh area while raising their family. Betty also was a Realtor in Pittsburgh winning multiple sales awards. In 1977 Betty and Don relocated to Baton Rouge, LA. There she continued to work as a Realtor in Baton Rouge and also worked in the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. In 1982 they moved to Florida for Don’s career. They remained in Dunedin, Florida until relocating to Texas to be near their family in 2015.

She loved to go to casinos, play bingo and go on cruises. She also loved to have her children visit her at her home in Dunedin, FL. She loved her family dearly and was always their most enthusiastic cheerleader.

Her parents, Andrew and Julia Beno, and her sisters Marie Kretzler and Virginia Beadling preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Don Malin.

She is survived by her 3 children; her oldest son, the Reverend Don Malin, and wife Bess, their daughter Tara and husband Andy Mills and great grandson Zach Mills; her daughter Valerie Williamson and husband Dale Williamson and granddaughters Mary and Jenni Williamson; and youngest son, Mark Malin and wife Marcia, and grandsons Steven Malin and wife Stephanie, and Joel Malin and wife Loren. Her brother Andy “Butchy” Beno also survives her.

Betty’s wish was to have no funeral service and to have her ashes interred along with her husband, Donald, at Deer Creek Cemetery in Springdale, PA, near Pittsburgh - their hometown.
