Betty Francis (Morrison) Mason was born on November 6, 1929 in Ryan, Oklahoma to the late Ora (Nesmith) Morrison and Delbert Bartley Morrison. She passed into the arms of her savior on the morning of October 9, 2022 at the age of 92 years old.
She was a graduate of Oklahoma College for Women and was married to her beloved husband, Oscar, on March 24, 1950. Betty was a typesetter for Jordan Typesetting for over 40 years before finishing her career in her own business, ESP Graphics and then working at M.I.C. for her friend Mike Crow until she was 90 years old.
She was a member of The Hills Church and was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to play games, from Bingo, Uno, and Mexican Train to Canasta, 42 and dominoes. She was a crossword fanatic and enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and Dancing with the Stars and bowling with her husband and church friends. Betty was also a lover and caregiver to animals and was extremely attached to her pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of over 50 years, Oscar E. Mason; and brother, Don Morrison. She is survived by her daughter, Debby Mason and partner, Cyn Stenhouwer of Milford, Connecticut; son, Scott Mason and wife, Sherry of North Richland Hills; precious granddaughter, Mackenzie Mason of North Richland Hills and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, October 14, 2022 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 15, 2022 at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills. Interment will follow a graveside service at 4:00 P.M. also on Saturday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
