Betty Jane Onarheim (AKA Betts), 93, of Southlake, TX, formerly of Sebring, FL, Merrick, NY and Windber, PA, passed away on December 1, 2021, in Southlake, TX.
She was born on May 23, 1928, in Windber, PA to Clarence Alexander Berkheimer and Nellie Phillips. Betty married George Olsen Onarheim on September 15, 1951, in New York who she met working at New York Telephone Company. Betty and her husband George were devout Christians and very involved in the Baptist Church. Betty served her God, her church, her neighbors and family in multiple ways -- from Sunday school teacher to visiting, encouraging and caring for family and friends. Betty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren who spent many a family vacation with her and George. God granted us many wonderful years with this devoted Christian, mother, aunt, friend, grandmother and great grandmother and for that we will be eternally blessed and grateful. Betty was deeply loved, and she is already deeply missed.
Betty is survived by her children, Kenneth Onarheim, wife, Marjorie, of Gales Ferry, CT, Glenn Onarheim, wife, Nancy, of Katy, TX, and Joyce Baker, husband, Steven, of Westlake, TX; grandchildren, David, Daniel, Peter, Amanda, Kelli, Ashley, Erik, and Lance; great-grandchildren, Emma, Tinsley, Travis, and Wyatt.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Olsen Onarheim, January 29, 2016; siblings, Ruth, Clarence, Shirl, and Dennis.
