Betty Lou Zink Payne, 90, of Bedford, passed away January 8, 2022 in Bedford. Betty was born June 24, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Hazel Kenneth Zink and Edith Mildred Devolt Zink. She was a graduate from University of Oklahoma where she received her degree in nursing. She moved to Texas where she met and married Donald Payne who preceded her in death after 60 years of marriage. Betty was a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed many hobbies including playing the violin for the Irving Philharmonic Orchestra, gardening and sewing. Betty was a committed Christian and former Bible Study Fellowship leader. She loved serving her family, neighbors, and friends as well as taking many medical mission trips with Donald. In addition to Donald, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Zink, and sister, Jane Zink. She leaves behind her daughter Linda and her husband Gary; son, Allen and his wife Lida; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
