It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Ann Carney Tapia announces her passing on December 4th, 2021, after a battle with cancer. She was 63 years old.
Beverly will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Carlissa and Calle Tapia, and her 5 stepchildren, Gwen (Pat) Pettit, Jeff (Lindsay) Tittensor, Katie (Richard) Eisiminger, Kendall (Shay) Allen, and Brian Roussey. Bev will also be fondly remembered by her 13 step grandchildren, and her 6 surviving siblings, Karen (Scott) McNames, Suzanne (Daniel) Cryan, Barbara (Raymond) Downey, Diane (James) Macken, Patricia (James Tipton) Blacker, and Kevin (Teri) Carney. Bev was predeceased by her husband Keith Tapia; parents, Patrick and Carliss Carney; and her step granddaughter, Madelyn Doty.
Bev was born in Austin, Texas and lived more of her formidable years in Palatine, Illinois until after marriage when she relocated to Keller, Texas. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, refinishing furniture and made many fond friendships over the forty years in the travel industry. Between her faith and her willingness to help others she was a passionate volunteer to help those in need and instilled that virtue in her children. Like her mother, she was an incredibly strong, caring, and compassionate person. She would always lend her ear, listen and in return give her best piece of advice. Ultimately, her greatest love was her family.
In lieu of flowers, Beverly has requested that all donations be made to her granddaughter’s nonprofit memorial, The Maddie Doty Foundation. (21720 North Lyon Trail, MI 48178) One hundred percent of all donations help families in crisis recovery.
