Bill Doughty, 85, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
Memorial Service: A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 4 pm Friday, August 7th, in the Chapel of Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Bill was born on November 17, 1929 in Geary, Oklahoma to Theodore (Ted) Edward Doughty and Ruth Ida Barney. His mother passed away when he was a child and he was raised by his grandmother, Hattie Mae Doughty. He attended Oklahoma State University and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. An avid golfer most of his life, Bill always loved to ‘tee it up’ with family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ruth Doughty; grandparents, Frank Henry and Hattie Mae Doughty; brother, Jack Barney Doughty; sister, Patsy Ruth Doughty-Stevenson; and his first wife, Violet.
