William “Bill”(Pecos) Kenneth Golliher, aged 83 from North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on April 11th, 2023.
Bill was born on July 30th, 1939 in Pickneyville, IL to loving parents Bonnie (Shute) Golliher and Kenneth Golliher. In high school Bill and his family moved from Pecos, Texas to Keller, Texas, where he played on the football team under the direction of “Coach” Paul Allen. He graduated from Keller High School.
While attending school in Keller, he became known as “Pecos”. He met and married the love of his life, Carol Yates while living in Keller. He joined the US Airforce and was stationed at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, Texas and Spain. Bill left the Air Force and returned to Texas. Here he had a long career with Bell Helicopter until retirement.
Bill loved spending time with his family in the great outdoors swimming and going on driving trips. He also loved reading, and shared that love with his grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Golliher; his father, Kenneth Golliher; and his sisters,
Betty Whitson and Barbara Maddux.
Bill is survived by his adoring wife, Carol Golliher; his daughters Joy (Larry) Britton, Lori (Gary) Botkin, and Cindy Gupton; his siblings, June Allen, Jackie Owens, and Benny Golliher; his 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 1 o’clock pm on Friday, April 14th, 2023 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller,
Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock pm on Friday, April 14th, 2023 in the Lucas – Keller Chapel. The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend.
A committal service will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 at Dallas Fort Worth
National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the US Renal Care or the
American Heart Association.
