BURLESON -- Billie Jean Grimes, 77, was called home by Jesus on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, with family by her side.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at South Park Baptist Church, 7201 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 S.W. Johnson Ave., Burleson. We say goodbye to a sweet, loving, and compassionate lady. Billie was born in Corbet to Fred and Maudie Moore. She met the love of her life, John Grimes, and they began their 59-year marriage in 1955. She served her community and church in many capacities. She was devoted to her family.
Billie was preceded in death by her grandson, Jake Deel; parents; brother; and sister.
Survivors: Her loving husband, John Grimes; daughter, Janet and husband, Danny Deel; son, Eddie and wife, Karyn Grimes; daughter, Julie Grimes; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by friends and family who loved her dearly
