Early Monday Morning, February 15, 2021 Billie Sue Smith, loving wife, mother, Grandmother, and great grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 83.

She was born on November 6, 1937 in Center, Texas to Reece and Addie Wilburn. Billie Sue was one of nine children. Billie Sue met her husband to be Delmar Smith in late 1957 where she worked at the Piccadilly Cafeteria in Fort Worth, Texas and fell in love. Their love story of 63 years produced four children Pamela Sue, Dale Lee, David Wesley and Barry Wayne. She was saved and baptized at the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth Texas in 1956. After her marriage to Delmar, they became members of McKibben Street Baptist Church in Haltom City, Texas in 1960 where they remained members at various other locations and Church names. In January 2019, they joined Friendship Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas. Billie Sue worked in the church nursery for many years.

Billie Sue was proceeded in death by her father and mother Reece and Addie Wilburn, two brothers, Bob Wilburn, Kenneth Wilburn and three sisters, Maxine Miller, Jacqueline Wilburn and Darlene Nall.

Billie Sue is survived by her husband Delmar; daughter, Pam Allen and her companion Donald Faulks, Jr.; son, Dale Smith and wife, Carla; son, David Smith; and son, Barry Smith and wife, Shantel all of the DFW Metroplex; brothers, Douglas “Cotton” Wilburn of Shelbyville, Texas; and Tommy Wilburn of Joaquin, Texas; also sister, Edith Risinger of San Angelo, Texas; Six Grandchildren: Michael Allen and wife, Destinni; Stephanie Allen; Jeffrey Smith and wife, Katy; Candice Smith; Wesley Smith and wife, Natalie; and Zakkery Dubose and wife, Maegan. Eleven Great Grandchildren: Sara Allen, Tyler Hall, Ethan Allen, Ryland Allen, Noah Dubose, Bellea Smith, Logan Dubose, Brayden Smith, Skylar Allen, Sadie Smith and Connor Smith. She leaves a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Family would like to thank LaDora Nursing/ Rehabilitation as well as Holy Savior Hospice for the love and care they provided for Billie Sue and the family. These facilities have been wonderful. Also, we would like to thank Elisa Carrillo for care and love she provided for Billie Sue while she was at home. Billie Sue loved the baskets of goodies provided during the year by the Daisy Ladies of Friendship Baptist Church.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday February 25, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church located at 1248 W. Hurst Blvd, Hurst, Texas 76053. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the church. The Service will begin at 3:00 P.M. under the direction of Pastor Rev. Jerry Power, Jr. Due to the ongoing COVID situation masks are suggested but not required.

There will also be a service held at Sulphur Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Louann Arkansas on Saturday February 27, 2021. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with service at 2:00 P.M. From there we will proceed to Bethesda Cemetery to lay her to rest.
