Billy R. Baird

Billie Reece Baird, 83, of Burleson passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Burleson. Interment: Burleson Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home.
Billie was born January 28, 1935 to Elmer and Flossie Baird in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was a great example of integrity and humility who left a lasting impression on many people. He was a faithful servant of God and taught Sunday school for close to 60 years. Billie was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Baird; parents, Elmer and Flossie Baird; brother, Bryon Baird and step-mother, Ruthalee Baird.
Survivors: Wife of 34 years, Doris Baird; daughter, Toni Baird Borras and husband, Dennis; step-son, Don Leslie Walters; grandchildren, Diane McCullough (Josh), Christina Alvarado (JC), Kyle Casey (April), Lindsay Matherne (Myles), Caitlin Freeman (Trever); 9 great-grandchildren; nephew, Michael Baird; niece, Jennifer Baird Brown and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Billie was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
