Billy J Weir (Bill) passed from this life into eternal life on Monday, November 8, 2021 in Hurst, TX. He was a longtime resident in Midland before relocating to Hurst.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Weir; mother, Mary Frank Slaughter; father, JE Weir; brother, John Frank Weir and sister, Mary Anne Roper.
He is survived by his 3 children, Jaye Lynn Turnbow and husband Rodney, Steve Weir and Ron Cotton, Terry Weir and wife Linda. Bill (Pop) had 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Pop deeply loved Christ and dearly loved his family. He was an awesome prayer warrior for them and spending time with family brought him great joy. He showed his love for each one, not so much with words but with action. There wasn’t anything Pop couldn’t fix. If any of us needed help, Pop was the man to call. He showed his love by being there for each and every one of us and being a shining example of Christ’s love. He was a tough man but with a huge and gentle heart. Pop will be missed by all that knew him.
Graveside Services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, TX at 1:00 pm on Saturday, 11/13/2021.
