Billye Paul Knife White

Billye Paul White, 81, went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 9, 2017. She was born October 16, 1935 in New London, Texas to the late Paul and Stella Knife.
She graduated London High School, New London, Texas in 1954; she graduated Kilgore College in 1956 with an associate art degree then continued her education at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas graduating in 1958 with a B.S. in Music Education. She taught elementary education in Henderson, Texas for 5 years before moving to Irving where she taught elementary music education for 4 years in the Irving School District. She moved into business administration later in life. She retired in 2014 as an administrative assistant with VHA of Irving, Texas.
Billye Paul was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had a passion for music; she performed many musical solos in both school and church. She was a Kilgore Rangerette and was part of the Kilgore College choir. Later in life she loved gardening, knitting, reading and being involved in church and many Bible study groups.
Billye Paul is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack E. White
Billye Paul is survived by sister and brother-in law Carol Sue and James Gray of Henderson, Texas; her daughter SheriNguyen of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter and son –in-law, Kim and Donnie Taber of Malvern, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Kyile Nguyen of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandsons, Corey Nguyen and Cade Workman of Fort Worth, Texas; Matthew and Tyler Taber of Malvern, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter, Avery Kauffman of Fort Worth, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to MacArthur Blvd Baptist Church, 8001 Mustang Dr., Irving Texas 75063 or The Bluebonnet Knitting Guild, 2709 Greenbrook Ct. Grapevine, TX 76051
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 14th, 2017, 6-8 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. Graveside service will be held at11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15th at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Pastor Josh Smith officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Lucas Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Baylor White & Scott of Grapevine for the care given to our mother in the past week that was exemplary and compassionate.
