It is with great sadness that the family of Bobby Gene Adams announces his passing on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the age of 83.
A celebration of Bob’s life will start with visitation on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 6-8pm and services on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11am at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX. At 2:00 p.m. will travel from Lucas Funeral Home to Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, TX for graveside services.

Bob was born January 25, 1935 in Alfalfa, OK, to Daniel Webster Adams and Rosetta Allington Frazier. His family moved from Oklahoma to Grapevine, TX in January of 1947. He fathered three children with his first wife then met and married the love of his life, Ruth Ann, in 1972 who later gave him another daughter.
Bob was known as a jack-of-all-trades. He owned a Texaco station in Grapevine and drove trucks for Texas and Pacific before managing his own businesses. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering, and creating artwork out of metal and many other mediums. These treasures were shared with family and friends. He was also awarded many State Fair ribbons for his creativity. It’s these skills and trades that will be passed on from generation to generation and cherished by everyone he shared them with.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bonnie, Elsie, and Daisy; and three brothers, Daniel, Leonard, and Fred.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ann; his brother Bill and wife Sondra; children, Deborah and husband John, Rose, Weldon, and Sandy; grandchildren, Dave, Jennifer and husband Brian, Hayley and husband Chris, Veronica, Seth; and great-grandchildren, Branton, Brenna, and Davey, with Atalaya on the way.
