NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Bob G. Doering, 81, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richland Hills Baptist Church. Interment: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Bob, the son of the late Otis LeRoy and Maudie Mozelle Thompson Doering, was born April 16, 1929, in Dallas. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in January 1948. He served in the Navy from January 1948 through December 1951. As a Navy corpsman, he worked as an operating room technician. After completing his military service, he married Bobbie Nell Hayden on Sept. 11, 1953, at the bride's home in Wills Point, and he and his new bride attended the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated in January 1956 with a BBA degree. He worked in materials management for over 40 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene. Survivors: Wife, Bobbie Nell; sons, Steven Glenn Doering and wife, Leslie, and Bradley Karl Doering; grandchildren, Mason Glenn Doering and Hannah Kaye Doering; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and business associates.
