Bobby Joe Eakin

Bobby Joe Eakin, resident of Granbury, TX, formerly of Burleson, TX, passed away on July 23, 2024 at home in Granbury, TX at the age of 84 years.

Born in Burleson, Texas on November 4, 1939. He was raised in Burleson and graduated from Burleson

High School in 1957. He worked for the City of Burleson, Thomas Conveyor, and General Dynamics. He

retired from Lockheed Martin. He liked camping, fishing, and hunting. He loved BHS football and

baseball.

He was loyal and hard-working. He believed in integrity. He loved the Lord and his family.

He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Burleson. At the time of his death, he was a member

of Bethesda Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children Warren Eakin and wife Kimberly (Burleson), Starlene Howell and husband

Kelly (Burleson), Carlene Eakin and Bobby Wheeler (Joshua), and Robert Eakin (Granbury), his

grandchildren Matthew and Amanda Eakin, Kyle and Elizabeth Eakin, Luke Eakin, Patrick and Soraya

Howell, Kaitlyn Howell and Nate Summers, Amanda Howell, and Andrew and Adriana Howell, his great-

grandchildren Alexis Eakin, Matthew Eakin Jr., Rendon Campbell, Lanna Campbell, Keegan Howell, Joyce

Howell, and Abigail Howell, and his great-great-grandchild Amelia Howell.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert P. Eakin, mother Hazel Eakin, his beloved Nancy

Martinez, sisters and brothers-in-law Eunice and Lacy Cantrell, Charles and Dorothy Rasco, his 2nd wife

Barbara Eakin and his grandson Caleb Eakin.

The viewing will be held on July 29, 2024 at 6-8 at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson.

The funeral will be held on July 30th , 2024 at 10:00AM at Bethesda Baptist Church, 100 W. Bethesda Rd.
