Bobby Wayne Mixson, 76, a devoted husband, father and mentor who loved the outdoors, died peacefully Sunday, March 6, 2022.
A Celebration of Bob's life will be on Saturday, March 19 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. The service will be followed by a reception in the garden.

Bob was born on October 31, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to Howard and Elizabeth Mixson. He grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1963. Bob attended Texas Weslayan College and North Texas State University. He served his country proudly in the United States Army as an Administrative Specialist at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Belgium and Fitzsimmons General Hospital in Denver. Bob worked in management for Braniff Airlines, Creative Imports, and Flower Trend Wholesale. He founded his own company, Bob's Lawn and Landscape in 2005.
On September 7, 1991, Bob married Cathy and they enjoyed 30 years of marriage. Their lives revolved around raising their son, Hunter, travel, volunteering at FUMC, and enjoying time with family and friends. His calm and reassuring manner will be missed by many lifelong friends and customers.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cathy Stratton Mixson and their son, Hunter Stratton Mixson of Keller, Texas; sister, Renna Wood; sister-in-law, Debbie Tate; son, Christopher Thomas Mixson; and 3 nephews, Jim, Travis and Bryan.
Bob lived life to the fullest, always surrounded by family, friends and neighbors.
