Bobby Lee Sparks passed away Tuesday February 20, 2024 at the age of 89.
Bob was born December 23, 1934 in South Sulphur, TX. He grew up in Ladonia before moving to Windom during his junior year of high school. After graduation, he moved to Fort Worth and began his career with Texas Electric Service Company in 1952 and retired in 1992. He served eight years in the Texas National Guard as a tank commander.
Bob married the love of his life, Polly, in 1954 and they were married for 61 years when she passed away in 2015. Bob and Polly enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and spending time with their family.
Bob was a volunteer at Texas Health Huguley Hospital of Burleson. He also attended the Burleson Senior Center, where he enjoyed taking dance classes and volunteering at senior living facilities.
Bob is survived by his son, Scott Sparks; his daughter, Kim Sparks; his brother, Leon Sparks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly; parents Raymond and Marjorie Sparks; and brothers Raymond Sparks and Joe Sparks.
