It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bonnie Gamblin. Born on December 8, 1953, Bonnie left us on October 10, 2024 — leaving behind a legacy of kindness, toughness, and openness that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Bonnie was a woman of strength, always fighting for what she believed in. She was open-hearted and ensured that her love was felt by all, especially those marginalized by society. Her lessons of love and compassion will be remembered for a lifetime.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Richard Gamblin, who stood by her side through all life's ups and downs. She was a proud and devoted mother, grandma and great grandma and is survived by her sons Wesley (wife Tina), Eric(wife Rhonda), Chad (wife Mandy) and Brent (wife Johanna) Little and many grand children and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings Steve (wife Vickie) and Tim (wife Vickie) Dearing, Tommy Dearing, Jamie Cagle, Lisa Combs and many nieces and nephews, whose bonds were made stronger through shared joy and sorrow.
Bonnie is also remembered by those who preceded her in death — her father, Wendell Dearing, her mother, Frances Meyers, her step-father, Jimmy Meyers, and her siblings Mark, Lee, Randy, and Linda Dearing. Their memories live on in the love and unity of the family that survives her.
A viewing for Bonnie will be held on October 14, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home located at 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053 and will be followed by a funeral service on October 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the North Pointe Baptist Church located at 147 East Hurst Blvd, Hurst, TX 76053.
All are welcome to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman. In the face of loss, we remember Bonnie's lesson — to love and care for those around us, especially those who are marginalized. As we mourn her passing, let us honor her legacy by embodying the love, strength, and openness that she lived every day of her life.
