Bonnie Green entered this world on August 9, 1934 in Alba, Texas to Willie P. Westbrook and Vera Jones Westbrook. She spent her early years growing up in Alba and Dallas Texas and moved to McKinney in her grade school years. It was the beginning of her years there she met her best friend Betty and has remained friends with her till this day. It was also in McKinney she met the love of her life and married Henry 2 weeks after high school graduation.
Bonnie peacefully departed this world on February 16, 2024 while staying with her son after a short illness and surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Verna, her husband Henry and daughter Susan Green Rose. Also departed are her four brothers: Baby Westbrook, Roy "Milton", J.W. "Jake" and Glen, and a sister Mildred.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, David Green of Euless, Texas, Grandson Sergey Green of Bedford, granddaughter Olga of Euless and two great grandchildren, Samuel and Sabrina of Euless, Texas. Shortly after her marriage she moved with her husband to N. Carolina to the military. After two years the couple moved back to McKinney Texas, then after a few years moved to Bedford, Texas where she resided till her death.
She excelled in her knowledge of the insurance business and soon became an insurance supervisor. She was very active in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she held various positions including council president and chapter president. She will be missed by many as she always had a positive attitude and a smiling face.
