A resident of Keller, Bonnie Lee, 69, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, from a heart attack.
Celebration of life: A service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 2:30pm at The Hills Church – Southlake campus.

Bonnie was born Nov. 26, 1947, in Oxford, MS to Bennie and Viola Lewers. Bonnie was a graduate of Harding University. There, she met and married her husband, Drake Lee on August 15, 1969 in Searcy, AR. She became a teacher after attending Harding and her passion for teaching and kids came through touching many lives throughout her years of teaching. She retired from teaching in Mississippi in 2005 and moved to TX to be closer to her children and grandchildren and continue her teaching career at Keller Central and Timber Creek High School. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with Drake, her children, loving on her four grandchildren, and being with her friends.
Survivors: Her husband of 47 years, Drake Lee; daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Charley Moore of Keller; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Brian Hunt of Frisco; grandchildren – Kylee and Katie Moore and Ethan and Ella Hunt; brother, Bennie Lee and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kerbe and Delores Lee; nieces and nephews whom she adored; and countless other family and friends who loved her dearly.
