Bonnie Kay Miller, 74, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Known for her endearing personality and fun-loving spirit, passed away December 22nd, 2021 in Bedford, Texas. Bonnie was a gift to all her family and friends. She touched the lives of so many. We find peace knowing she celebrated her first Christmas in Heaven.
Bonnie was born June 21st, 1947 to parents, Helen and Fred Miller. The family resided in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1962, the Miller’s moved to Southern California. Bonnie graduated from Tustin High School in 1965. For several years, Bonnie enjoyed working for Far West Restaurant Services in the Orange County area. Her altruistic nature guided her career throughout her life. In 1971, she became a dental hygienist. She also got her real estate license. At last, Bonnie found her true calling as a flight attendant for Air Cal and American Airlines. She was dedicated to her work. She loved traveling and meeting new people. She embraced the sisterhood and created lasting friendships. After 40 plus years of a successful career in the AIrline Industry, she retired.
In the 1980’s, Bonnie moved to Bedford, Texas where she has since called home. She spent invaluable time with her parents and visited family. She had several groups of close friends and neighbors, and always enjoyed tending to her garden. Bonnie adored shopping, hosting, reading and cooking for others. She enjoyed “good spirits,” and good company. Never one to turn down a “tiny bite,”of chocolate or decadent dessert. Bonnie was always the first one to make you feel welcomed, loved and secure. Our mentor, role model, family member and friend, with a heart of pure gold. She will be lovingly missed and always cherished.
Bonnie’s parents preceded her in death along with her youngest brother, Scott. Surviving family members include her sister, Barbara Doughty and her husband, Ralph of Ashville, N.C.; her oldest brother, Wayne Miller and his wife, Jill of Tulsa, OK; her younger brother, Tod Miller of Escondido, CA.: her nieces, Misty Loredo and her husband, Jim; Angie Williams and her husband, Sydney; her nephews Chad Doughty, Jeff Miller; Scott Miller and his wife, Katie; great-nieces Skye Doughty, Brielle Radke, Karys Miller, Marin Miller and Makenna Williams; great nephews Ryan Doughty, Jadon Radke and Hunter Miller, In lieu of flowers or donations, spend time in your garden, plant a flower, enjoy a dessert and do “a little shopping”.
