Brandice Celeste Turner

Brandice's positive light and impact on people began at an early age in a Bob's Big Boy restaurant, when she stood up in her booster seat to announce, "Where's the Ketchup?" A hush fell over the packed restaurant as the diners realized the loud voice asking the question came from a petite toddler. With hands-on her hips, Brandice addressed her audience again, "Where's the Ketchup?" The stunned waitress stopped serving another table, quickly retrieved a bottle of ketchup, and presented it to Brandice. She gave the waitress her best "Brandice" smile, sat down in her booster seat to enjoy her french fries. And the people, including the waitress, smiled with relief. Years later, Brandice still warmed the hearts of people with her best smile and she still enjoyed ketchup with fries.

Brandice was born on October 11, 1981, at Vandenberg A.F.B hospital in Lompoc, CA. Her engaging smile served her well growing up as a military child. The moving, changes in culture, changing schools, leaving friends, and making new friends can be challenging early in childhood. Brandice met the challenges by being flexible, always looking forward to what is ahead, having fun learning about different cultures, and different people. She first learned to read and write in England. Her school years were filled with cheerleading, debate teams, a year-long foreign exchange program in Venezuela, and dedicating her life to Jesus Christ. At the start of a new millennium, Brandice graduated with honors from Seaside High School, Monterey, CA in June 2000. She started her college years at American University in Washington, DC, and continued on to graduate from the University of South Alabama with a degree in International Business in 2005. She spoke Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. She enjoyed her travels throughout Europe while studying in Spain and even taught English for a year in Taiwan. After college, Brandice explored various opportunities in the workforce; always making a positive impact on people with her smile, giving positive energy, warmth, and the love of Jesus. Whether as an insurance adjuster or restaurant manager, executive assistant, business analyst, or project manager, Brandice's imprint left the workplace environment with her unique stamp.

Brandice believed in stewardship service using her time, talents, and money in ministry. A positive light exuded from her drawing people to Jesus. Her genuine love of people came from an infinite love between Jesus and her. She had come to think of God as her Father, Jesus as her husband, and children in need as her babies. Being the phenomenal woman is was the light, the impact, and affecting lives for the better, this is Brandice.

Brandice leaves not to mourn her passing, but to cherish many fond memories:

Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Gateway Church, 700 Blessed Way, Southlake, Texas 76092.
