Brandon Scott Salinas of Keller, Tx, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 24, 1999.
Brandon was the youngest of 2 boys. He adored and so admired his older brother, Ricky Salinas of North Richland Hills. At 4 ½ years younger than his brother, he always thought he could do everything Ricky did. Brandon graduated from Keller High School with the Class of 2017. While at KHS he was involved in the Robotics Team and the Engineering ‘Dream Team’. Developing a love of airplanes while playing his computer games, he chose to follow a degree in Aerospace Engineering at UT Arlington, which he was currently in the end of his junior year.
Brandon is preceded in death by his Papaw, Arthur D. Townsend; and his aunt, Kimberly A. Townsend Christy.
He is survived by his parents, Cesar J. Salinas, Jr. and Laura R Salinas of Keller and his brother, Ricky L. Salinas of North Richland Hills; his Nana, Naomi Townsend of Duncanville and by his Grandad and Nana, Cesar J. Salinas, Sr and Sara of Laredo; Brandon was also surrounded by a large family of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and very dear friends.
Brandon was a precious, very loving and caring son. He had the biggest heart, kindest soul, extremely thoughtful, protective of the ones he loved, always made you smile. He’d be your wingman, could be outlandish and then quiet and shy. He would do anything for you in a heartbeat. When you look back over the years, its very prevalent how you can see that if you were one he treasured and loved, he never hesitated in wrapping his arm around your shoulders or around your neck depending on your height.
One of Brandon’s special loves was for his 13-year-old puppy, JoJo. Santa brought her to him at the age of 8. She had such a love for him and loved chasing and lathering him with her kisses.
We are going to miss him so much, but he will be in our hearts forever. He is teaching us all to unite and become strong as a family.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations can be made to the Suicide & Crisis Center of North Texas, 2808 Swiss Ave, Dallas Texas 75204.
