On April 8, 1968 our Holy Father graciously entrusted us with the care, love, and raising of Brian Charles Jones. God called Brian back to His home to be with HIM November 12, 2022.
Brian was a 1986 graduate of DeSoto High School and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1991 with a BA in Psychology.
Shortly after graduating from Tech, Brian found success in the Mortgage industry working for Countrywide Mortgage. In 2003, Brian was asked to transfer from the Dallas office to Jacksonville, Florida to open a new Countrywide Branch. Due to his love of the beach, Brian was not very hard pressed or disappointed in leaving his home state of Texas and moved his family to historic St. Augustine, Florida. After work on those sweet warm sunny Florida days Brian loved taking his two children, Jake and Landry, for some beach time and a quick dip in the Atlantic Ocean.
When Bank of America purchased Countrywide Mortgage in 2008, Brian was one of the few Executives retained by Bank of America and transferred back to Dallas, Texas. Brian was highly regarded for his work ethic and by his “work family”. His Leadership skills became evident when so many of his employees asked if they could follow him to Texas and continuing work with him. He was known as a Leader who was fair, giving acknowledgement, and credit to employees for their individual accomplishments. Brian’s son, Jake recently said, “My Dad did not have an ego.”
After many years in the Mortgage business, Brian decided to give that career up to follow his true passion-Real Estate. He joined Biggs Realty in 2022. For the first time in a long while, Brian truly enjoyed his job-being a realtor was satisfying work for him.
Brian is survived by the two most important people in his life, his loving children. Son Jake Harrison Jones, and daughter Landry Marie Jones. Parents Bud and Eloise Jones, Brother Casey, Sister-in-law Allison Jones, Aunt and Uncle Glynda and William Davis, Niece Grace Jones, Nephew Garett Jones and wife Morgan.
Brian was preceded in death by grandparents, Paul I. and Addie Lee Jones, and Charlie and Margaret Wolfe
