Bryan F. Hurley, 72 years old, of Keller, Texas formerly of Killarney, Ireland passed away on October 11, 2018. Bryan immigrated to the U.S. as a young adult, served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam and then Active Duty Air Force for 23 years before retiring in 1990. In his retirement he made frequent trips to his beloved home of Ireland. He also enjoyed watching sports and reading but most of all he loved his family and doted on his four grandchildren.
Bryan is preceded in death by his parents, David and Catherine (Looney) Hurley, five brothers: Gerald Hurley, John Hurley, Brendan Hurley, Patrick Hurley and Desmond Hurley, and three sisters Claire Carroll, Kathleen Prendergast, and Eileen O’Sullivan all of Killarney, Ireland.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Melanson) Hurley of Keller, TX; Two daughters Bridgette Leopold of San Antonio, TX and Christine Lopez of Keller, TX. Four grandchildren; Dominic Lopez, Marie Lopez and Anjelica Lopez of Keller, Tx and Taryn Leopold, of San Antonio, TX. One brother, Barry Hurley of Killarney, Ireland and four sisters; Joan O’Sullivan, Breda Sheehan and Annette Eckherd of Killarney, Ireland and Marie Barrett of London, England. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Ireland, England, and the U.S.
Services will be held 11:00 am Monday November 5, 2018 at Lucas Funeral Home followed by internment at the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX with full military honors. He will be brought home to his beloved Ireland to rest beside his family.
