Bryan Roberts passed away on September 14, 2019 in Fort Worth Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved him.
Bryan was born on March 19, 1976 in Homewood, Alabama to Paul Roberts and Rita Morrison. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Grapevine. Bryan was a Professional Air Traffic Controller and a proud member of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association at the time of his death. His interest in aviation began in high school when he got
his private pilots license. Shortly after high school he entered the US Army, proudly serving his country in the states and in Korea as an air traffic controller. It was in Korea that he met his beautiful wife, Hannah. After they were married and Bryan had separated from the Army he was hired by the Federal Aviation Administration. Since then Bryan completed his Bachelor's Degree at Embry Riddle University and became one of the most respected and admired Air Traffic Controllers around. He also represented NATCA as a member of the National Transportation Board accident investigation team. He always had a ready smile for those that he worked with and all that he encountered in his professional life.
His most passionate hobby was cycling. He was a road racer, cycling coach, cyclocross racer and eventually a race promoter. His passion for the sport touched many lives here in North Texas, especially in Fort Worth. The void that he leaves in the sport will be felt for a very long time.
As he was excelling at his profession and his hobby, he and Hannah raised two remarkable boys Baron and Aaron. Whenever the boys were involved in sports or musical activities, he was
right there with them all the way. He even played his guitar when they got the band together in the dining room, Baron on piano and Aaron on drums. He was a very hands on dad. He was a great father and a great provider.
Bryan is survived by his wife Hannah, his sons Baron and Aaron, his father Paul, his mother
Rita, his step-mother Louise Roberts, his father-in-law Il Dong Kwon, his mother-in-law Ji Sun
Kwon, his brother-in-law Hyuk Joon Kwon and various aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
