C. T. Chang

December 19, 1943 — November 2, 2022

CT Chang, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home of 40 years surrounded by his family on Wednesday November 2nd. CT was born China on December 19, 1943 to his mother Jenny Li Chang and his father, Amos Chang. He was the second child of four and had fond memories of his childhood. CT eventually moved to United States and attended Boston University when he met and married Sandy Chin in 1966. The young couple relocated to Manhattan Kansas. CT attended Kansas State University as an Architectural Student, where his father was also a professor. CT received his Master of Architecture and enjoyed a long career in the profession. Sandy and CT were married for 12 years and had three children, Eric, Allen and Yvonne. Sandy lost her battle with cancer in 1981. CT relocated to Bedford, TX and married Betty Ohnemiller in 1983. They celebrated 39 years of marriage in May this year. CT continued to practice architecture through his company CT Chang and Associates until his last days. CT enjoyed his work, singing in the Scholar Cantorum, golfing with friends and being with his family. CT is survived by his wife, Betty Chang, sons, Eric Chang, Allen (Lara) Chang, daughter, Yvonne (Torin) Johnson, grandchildren, Cole Johnson, Kyleigh Johnson, Katie Chang, Casey Chang and Charlotte Chang, his sister Songsri (Jimmy) Wong, and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held later in Wichita Kansas.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers if you wish you may donate to the Amos I.T. Chang Scholarship set up by CT to honor his late father, Amos, for his contributions to Kansas State University and the Architectural profession.
