Candace Maxine Martinez, beloved wife of Alfredo Najar and cherished mother of Tre Martinez, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2024, in Decatur, TX, at the age of 53. She was born in Atchison, KS, on August 3, 1970, to Ted and Brenda Ogden.
Candace, known for her warm smile and kind heart, was a dedicated member of the Fellowship of the Parks North Fort Worth where her faith shone brightly. She graduated from Missouri Western University and pursued a successful career as an auditor with Alcon. Candace found joy in crafting, exploring new destinations, delving into bible study, and unraveling her family's history through genealogy.
In November 2016, Candace exchanged vows with her soulmate, Alfredo Najar, creating a bond that would last a lifetime. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alfredo Najar, her son, Tre Martinez, her father, Ted Ogden, her stepmother Dorthy Ogden, her siblings Stacy Peuker, Robert Ogden, Teddy Ogden, Clay Miller, Lisa Parker and Heather Childers, along with her extended family members and friends.
Candace's Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Fellowship of the Parks North Fort Worth, 9900 North Beach Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76244.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of personal significance are welcomed as a tribute to Candace's generous spirit.
Candace will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, her memory a beacon of light in the lives she touched.
