Carol Jean Birdsong-Hill

Carol Jean Birdsong-Hill passed away Tuesday, February 27 at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in McCamey, TX on February 23, 1940, to C.D. and Vera Birdsong.

She earned her degree from Texas Women's University and then began her pottery business. She was called on so often for advice from fellow classmates that she taught pottery at Tarrant County Junior College. Clay was her love for many years, and she made beautiful and lifelong friends in the pottery community. Carol was artistic throughout her life creating marvelous pieces of work in different mediums. She was a wonderful mother who never missed a competition or event her children were involved in. She was full of spirit and adventure and her favorite place to be was at Port Aransas, TX with her family.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter Kim, her brother Gary, and her parents C.D. and Vera Birdsong. She will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 63 years, Tom and greatly missed by her daughter Deby and son Greg (Lee-Anne). Carol will also be remembered by her extended family and dear friends.
