Carol Lynn Anastasia Campbell
22 January 1956 - 3 December 2022
Roanoke, Texas
Carol was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Thomas Horton Campbell and Janet Ann Cashman at Mercy hospital.
Carol was briefly married to Michael Jacobson, whom she met while in service overseas. They particularly enjoyed being stationed in Germany and taking a trip of their lifetime to Kenya to photograph wildlife. After 7 years of marriage they called it quits while stationed in Alexandria, VA.
After graduating from Largo High School in Florida, she joined the U.S. Army and saw the United States and some of Europe from much different perspectives. This led to a job with the Department of Defense from which she retired after over 31 years of service.
Carol had multiple interests in the arts: ceramics, photography, oils (and earned a F.A. degree along her life journey from George Washington University); cats, dogs, children, computers, efficiency expertise (she was a 6σ (Sigma) Black Belt)...etc, etc, etc.
She loved to laugh... and particularly enjoyed the sound of her children's laughter, whom she adopted from TX. An unusual adoption in that these children were actually her niece and nephew, she welcomed them with open arms into her heart.
Although recently preceded in death by her younger brother, Matthew Campbell and by her father Thomas, his wife, Patricia Campbell of Kalispell, MT joins in
cherishing her memory with Carol's family: her daughter, SineadCairlin Campbell and her husband Deiby Franco of Irving, TX, (and where her canine babies, Roxie and Ruby, recently joined their family... thoroughly upsetting Daisy!) and son, Maithiu Campbell of Cedar Rapids, IA; her mother, Janet Ann Cashman Campbell Huber Scheuer of Roanoke, TX; brother Stephen Campbell and his wife, Susan of Gig Harbor, WA; her niece, Kelley Valdez and family of San Diego, CA; her nephew, Scott Campbell and family of Gig Harbor, WA; sister-in-law Victoria Campbell, beloved wife of Matthew; brother, Christopher Campbell of Cleburne, TX, nephew, Justin Campbell and family of Fairfield, PA; sister Julie Renn and family of Maricopa, AZ; brother William Huber of Cleburne, TX, estranged nephew Joshua Huber and family of Hurst, TX, nephew, Zachary Huber and family of Bealeton, VA; niece Ashleigh Huber of Cleburne, TX; brother Clement Huber and wife Shelia of Arlington, TX, niece, Jeri Huber and family of Saginaw, TX, Jacob Huber and family of Cedar Rapids, IA; brother Douglas Campbell and family of Bedford, TX along with a host of many other beloved relatives and in-laws plus dear friends (Diane Perkins Jacobson and family of Tallahassee, FL, since grade school, plus Barbara Gail Thorne of Angel Fire, NM) and close neighbors in the 17 Lakes neighborhood of Roanoke.
