The family will be greeting friends and relatives an hour prior to the service starting.
Carol was born January 28, 1951 in Arouca, Trinidad to Harold Nichols and Geraldine Roberts. She came to Brooklyn, New York in 1988 to create a better life for herself and her children. She graduated from Caliber Training Institute that same year and became a nanny. Her unique abilities in child care and her attentiveness garnered her the name “Baby Whisperer” from her loving clients, who became her extended family over the years. After a few years, she transitioned from being a nanny to a baby nurse. Carol’s career and love for newborns spanned 19 years. Outside of her career, she enjoyed gardening, attending church, dancing, walking, cooking, and shopping. She was the matriarch of the family and loved them dearly. She was always there when they needed advice, words of wisdom or a shoulder to cry on.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Geraldine; son, Jimmy; and brother, Winfield.
Carol is survived by her sons and daughter, Junior Roberts, Jennifer Roberts, Jacqueline Richardson, Marlon Legere, Jeffrey Roberts, Cherry Ann Campbell, and Carl Campbell; brothers, Carl Richardson, Jerry Richardson and Jerold Richardson; grandchildren, Trisha, Solomon, Jalene, Megan, David, Justina, Ashley, Nyree, Maykel, Adoni, Kierra, Kye, Kenyon, Jerry, Jimmilah, Tiana, NeAsia, Derek, Jaylen, Niomi, Shaquille, Jayden, Carl Jr., and Christian; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Emaine, Emanuel, Maykayla, and Jace; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
