Carol Olds Elliott Row, 86, passed away Monday, March 19, 2017 in Bedford, TX. Carol was born November 10, 1930 in Cotulla, TX to C. Clifford and Helen Olds. She was a resident of San Antonio, TX for about 23 years. Carol graduated in 1948 from Thomas Jefferson High School and Southwest Texas Teachers College in 1952. Carol taught at Rayburn Drive and Gerald Avenue Elementary Schools in the Harlandale Independent School District until her marriage to Dale F. Elliot in 1954. She also taught for 3 years in Birdville Independent School District and 11 years in the Houston Independent School District, where she served as recording secretary of the congress of Houston teachers (1974-1975). After her marriage to Enoch Row in August of 1977, she resided in Euless, TX until her death. In Euless she actively participated in such organizations as First United Methodist Church UMW Service Groups, AARP Tax-Aide Program, Oak Crest Women's Club, Soto Grande Duplicate Bridge Group, ACBL and volunteer at the Haltom Convalescent Home for several years.
Visitation will be Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst, TX 6pm-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church Fort Worth at 11am on Wednesday. Graveside services will be at 2pm Thursday, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, TX.
Carol is survived by her son, Prentice Dale Elliot and wife Jeannie; step-son, James Row; step-daughter, Vicky Lyn Wood and husband Richard; brother, William H. Olds; Grandchildren, Andry Kennedy and husband David, Heather Wood and Nicholas Wood, Sarah Macdonald and husband Rory; great grand children, Sandra and Katie Kennedy , James David and Robert Lewis Macdonald; and many more family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, C. Clifford and Helen Olds and her husbands, Dale F. Elliot and Enoch Row.
