Carole Megellas, beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away October 29th at the age of 83. Carole was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on November 4th, 1938 to Arthur and Margaret Laehn and was one of two children, along with her brother David Laehn who she remained very close with her entire life. Carole was named Miss Ripon and was first runner up in the Miss Wisconsin pageant. She was also active in modeling. She was an accomplished pianist, doing work for the Wurlitzer corporation. She also loved cooking and was involved with many gourmet clubs. She enjoyed hosting parties for her friends and community and particularly adored Christmas. In May of 1962, Carole married the love of her life, James Megellas, and they remained in love for the rest of their lives. Carole relished the role of her life as mother to her two children, James and Stephen, and then later on to her four grandchildren, Trace, Mackenzie, Marshall, and Piper.
Carole is survived by her sons James and Stephen, and grandchildren Trace, Mackenzie, Marshall, and Piper, and sister-in-law Peg who she cherished as a sister.
