Caroline was a devout Catholic. She attended Our Lady of Victory Academy and was a member of Saint George’s Parish in Ft Worth. She was an active member of the altar society.
A lifetime government employee, she worked for the FAA while it was still the CAA at the large campus on Blue Mound Road. Caroline also served in Washington D.C. for the CAA during the 1950s.
Traveling the US and Europe with her traveling Companions, the Cihacek girls, Mary, Phylis and Hermina was a passion for her. The surviving sister Hermina, 105 years old, was with her when she passed away.
Caroline’s greatest love was her ever growing family. She was the family matriarch for several decades and loved organizing family gatherings, especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. She helped her Mom and Dad create many family traditions that are still observed today; most notably, the annual “Cranberry Crunch” which she took part in until the age of 98 from her wheel chair with a “little” assistance from Rod and Kyle, her great nephews and Greg and Grant, her great, great nephews. Also, the fact that virtually all family Christmas trees are supposed to revolve, is one of her most enduring legacies.
She is survived by nephew, Tom Pekurney and wife Vicki; niece Kathy Miller and husband Jerry; niece and name sake Carol (Bebe) Walker; nephew Phil Folvag, great niece and special care giver, Kourtney Miller Spilker and husband Lee; great nephews, Rod Pekurney and wife Brooke, Kyle Pekurney and wife Adrien, Jeriahme Miller and wife Kari, Zach Walker and wife Windy, Rusty Burson and wife Vannessa and Lindsey Shaw and husband Richard. She is also survived by her great, great nephews Gregory and Grant Pekurney, Cade and Caleb Miller, Robby Walker and wife Catalin, and her great, great nieces, Sunnie and Allie Pekurney and Paige and Cassidy Simmons; her great, great, great nephews Owen, Oaklee and Preston.
She was loved and will be missed by all.
