Carolyn passed away Friday, March 14th, in her home surrounded by loved ones. Carolyn was born December 6, 1934 in Elmwood, Indiana to John Max Moore and Hilda Heflin. They resided in Louisville, Kentucky. Carolyn met the love of her life, Clemis Arthur Bailey and they were married June 6th,1952. They moved to Hurst in 1959, with Clem taking a job at Bell Helicopter and Carolyn becoming a homemaker and mother. They raised their family together until Clem's passing in 1991.
Carolyn and Clem have four children, all boys, Jonathan (John) of Fort Worth, Todd (Barbara) of Mooresburg, Tennessee, Kurt (Kim) of Haslet and Scott (Dana) of Sanger. Carolyn has 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, Daniel (Weiwei) and great granddaughter Ada, Ryan (Meagan) and great grandsons Noah and Zeke, Lisa (Danny Edwards), Denise and great grandsons Kieran and Eliot, Brett Austin (deceased 2002), Christopher (Linda) great granddaughter Robin, Jessica (Jason Merrell) great granddaughters Emie, Penelope and Mercy, Pierce (Maggie) great grandchildren Edyn and Knox Shepherd, Payton (Zaden Lawson).
Carolyn is also survived by her brother, Keith Moore, his wife Nancy, nieces Katie and Ashley, along with several cousins and other relatives. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Brett and her husband Clem.
Carolyn and Clem were members of First United Methodist Church of Hurst, where Carolyn had many friends in her Bible school class. Carolyn will also be remembered for being a great host with her wonderful cooking and famously revered for her breakfast casserole and her playing of Sausage (a family tradition card game).
