HALTOM CITY -- Carolyn Ballew of Haltom City went to join the Lord on Tuesday, September 13,2016.
Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the home of Shirley Hobbs, 224 Norwood Drive, Hurst, Texas.
Carolyn was born on September 5, 1942 to Bula and Denver Ballew of Grapevine, Texas. Carolyn shared her parents simple code of ethics -love of God, family, and friends.
She worked for 25 years, and retired from MasTex Trim Corporation of Dallas, Texas. She was a graduate of Grapevine High School class of 1959. She will never be forgotten for her comical and quick-witted personality, or her published children's book The Adventures of Rusty and Toby published by Brown publishing of Dallas, Texas.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother Bula Ballew, father Denver S. Ballew, and brother Denver F. Ballew.
Survivors: sister, Virginia Ballew Hobbs; nieces, Shirley Hobbs, Cindy Griffin, Beth Morphew, and Beverly Miller; nephews, David Hobbs, Harold Hobbs, and Bradley Ballew; great-nephews, Cory and Colby Spencer, Tony and Tyler Hobbs, Jason Morphew, Christopher Miller, Matthew Miller, and great-niece Krista Miller; great- great Nephew Jackson Spencer and her special life-long friends to the end Betty Wagner, Gayle Watson, and of course her precious dog Tiki Bear.
