Carolyn Sue Leach

Carolyn Sue "Susie" Leach, 75, of Burleson, was called home to her Father's house on March 18, 2025. She was born October 10, 1949 in McGregor, Texas to Marjorie Adaline (Kinsey) and Sherman Nysle Leach.

A devoted Christian and a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Sue was a special person, kind and generous, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Sue was a tenured professor and department chair of Radiologic Technology at Odessa College, a job she loved, before retiring in 2011 after 35 years of teaching. She began her career as a Radiologic Techologist after hearing a radio advertisement in the summer of 1968, "Earn while you learn at Odessa College." She earned two degrees in Radiologic Technology, graduating in 1970 with an A.A.S. degree from Odessa College and in 1983 with her B.S.R.T. from Midwestern State University.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Angela Lozano (Ced) of San Angelo; two sisters, Fran Reid (Truman) of Burleson and Adaline Schelling (Roger) of Midland; one brother, Luther Leach, Sr of Biloxi, MS, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Leach; mother and step-father, Marjorie and Bill Parkinson; three brothers, Charles Leach, Donald Leach, and Wade Parkinson, Sr; and two nephews, Richard Conn, Jr and Wade Parkinson, Jr.
