Carolyn Charles Nicholas, aged 52, a beloved wife, mother, sister, friend and teacher, passed away in her home with family on August 10, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Carolyn Charles was born on September 28, 1970, to Wes and Deanna Charles in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. She attended Pompton Lakes High School and graduated in 1988. Carolyn continued her education at William Paterson University, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and pursued her passion for teaching.
Carolyn shared a loving and devoted marriage with her husband and high school sweetheart, Richard Nicholas, whom she married in 1993. Together, they created a beautiful family and were blessed with two wonderful children, Trevor and Mary Elizabeth Nicholas. In 2005, Carolyn and her family moved from New Jersey to Arizona and then in 2006 the family moved to Fort Worth, Texas.
Carolyn dedicated her life to education as a preschool teacher. With patience and love, she fostered the growth and development of countless young hearts and minds. She possessed a natural talent for teaching and had a remarkable ability to connect with children, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.
Tragically, Carolyn's vibrant life was cut short due to the insidious disease of pancreatic cancer. Throughout her 18 month battle, Carolyn displayed immense strength, courage, and grace, serving as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Carolyn will be fondly remembered for her infectious laughter, warm heart, beautiful smile, bright blue eyes and unwavering kindness. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel loved and valued. Carolyn's unconditional love for her family was a testament to the incredible person she was.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Nicholas; her cherished children, Trevor and his partner Molly Talkington and Mary Elizabeth Nicholas; her siblings Wessie Charles and Dawn Marie McGahran and her parents, Wes and Deanna Charles. Carolyn also leaves behind her extended family, friends, colleagues, many bonus children she gained through her years of teaching and all those whose lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of her and her birthday at Cinnamon Creek Ranch, located at 13794 Old Denton Rd in Roanoke, Texas 76262, on Sunday, October 1st, 2023 at 4 o'clock pm.
