Carrie Flores Botello, 98 of California, went to be with our Lord October 6, 2022 in Burleson, Texas Carrie Flores was born to Aurora Flores and Jose “Joe” Flores on February 9, 1924 in San Fernando Valley, California. She graduated from San Fernando High and went on to a successful 35 year career as a manager for Avco Financial Services in Oxnard.
Carrie married her beloved husband Enrique “Henry” Botello on October 10, 1944. Together they had two daughters. During Henry’s time in the military and while he was deployed in World War II, Carrie helped in the war effort by working as a “Rosie the Riveter”.
Carrie loved being with her family, lunches with dear friends and music. Even after retirement she always kept herself busy including participating in the OUHSD Testing Team. She was also an active and supportive grandmother to her 3 grandchildren and later to her 8 great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Henry Botello, daughter, Yolanda Beigh, brothers Joe and Rudy Flores and sister, Hortencia Torres and step brother Russel Flores.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Rebecca Buettner (David), grandchildren James Henry Beigh (Jill), Carilyn Voorhies (Daniel) and Carissa Taylor (Aaron Blake), great grandchildren Juliana and Jenna Beigh, Ethlyn, Luke, and William Voorhies, Cierra, Amaia, and Alecia Taylor, step-brother, Wesley Flores and son-in-law, Paul Beigh.
A memorial service will be held in Camarillo at a later date.
