Casey Adam Sligar lost his battle with cancer on September 17th 2015 at Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 41.
Casey is survived by his wife Jaime; daughter Kylie; and son Kaden. Other survivors include his mother-in-law Marty Mitchell; brothers Jayson and Tony Monik, Jeremy and Josh Mitchell; niece Evelyn and nephew Killian; brothers Mark, Scott and Todd Sligar; Sister-in-laws Chana and Heidi; grandmother Ruth Wallace; and father Bill, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and a multitude of extended family.
Casey was preceded in death by his mother Latayne Sligar and grandfather Derwood Wallace.
He was born on January 23rd 1974 in Irving, Texas to Bobbie Latayne and Bill Sligar. He graduated from MacArthur High School in 1993. He married his wife, Jaime, on September 23rd 1994. After starting their family, they moved to Keller, Texas in 2001. Casey was an employee of JP Morgan Chase for almost 5 years.
Casey was a spirited person who never met a stranger. He had a contagious energy and a beautiful smile that would light up any room. In his spare time, Casey loved to play soccer, travel, go to the gun range, and spend time with his family and friends. He was intelligent, hardworking, and a devoted husband and father.
A visitation is scheduled for September 21st 2015 from 6-8 pm at Lucas funeral home in Keller.
A service is scheduled for September 22nd 2015 at 2 pm at Hillside Community Church, with a reception to follow.
