Catherine “Cathy” Dyer, 65, a retired nurse, beloved wife, mom, and Mimi, unexpectedly
passed away June 7th at Baylor of Grapevine surrounded by family.
Cathy grew up in New England riding horses and catching bull frogs. She graduated
nursing school in Florida where she met the love of her life, Bruce Dyer. After a whirlwind 6-
week courtship they were married and have enjoyed each other for over 44-years. Shortly after
wedding they moved to what Cathy would describe as her true home, Texas. Cathy was an
avid gardener, talented crafter, and a master shopper. An extrovert to the ’T’, she never met a
stranger and enjoyed entertaining friends and family with food and wine. When they weren’t
spoiling their grandchildren, Cathy and Bruce shared a passion for adventure and would
frequently travel the globe.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Tyler McAdam and Helen Roberts, her
brother Paul McAdam and her sister Laurie Perry. Cathy is survived by her husband Bruce Dyer
of Grapevine; son Ross Dyer and his wife Kristina of Ft. Worth; daughter Christine and her
husband Rob Martin, along with their four children: Ellie, Luke, Caroline, and Clara of Levelland;
sister Patricia Knott of Florida and brother Tom McAdam of Grapevine.

Methodist Church, Southlake, Rev. Kyle Roberson officiating. Inurnment to follow at the
