GRAPEVINE -- Catherine "Cathy" Louise Fielder went home to the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Wednesday at White's Chapel United Methodist Church, Southlake, the Rev. Betsy Godbold officiating. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Waples United Methodist Church, Denison. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial funds may be sent to the Northwest ISD Education Foundation with special designation for the Outdoor Learning Center. Cathy was born Sept. 14, 1949, in Oakland, Calif., to Frank and Christene Graves. In 1976 she married James Fielder, son of James W. "Dub" and Ollie Fielder of Pottsboro. Cathy and Jim raised three sons, Michael, William and John. Cathy earned a master's degree from TWU and taught history at Northwest High School for several years. She served as the social studies curriculum coordinator for the Northwest ISD since 2002. Cathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim, in 2000 and son, Michael Fielder, in 2007. Survivors: Son, Will and his wife, Elaine; son John, his wife, Carrie, and their daughter, Emily; daughter-in-law, Mary Fielder; parents, Frank and Christene Graves; brother, Wade Graves and nephew, Tyler Graves; sister, Sharon Mulrey and husband, Brian Mulrey; niece, Christine Mulrey; nephew, Brian Mulrey Jr. and his wife, Annette; sister-in-law, Naomi Combs and husband, Tim Combs; and niece, Jenifer Bomberger and husband, Matt Bomberger.
