Catherine E. Gonzales

Catherine Elizabeth (Schwarz) Gonzales age 61 of Arlington, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on June 9, 2023.
Cathy was born in 1962 to Nick and Hermine Schwarz in Cincinnati, Ohio. After Cathy graduated from Oak Hills High School in 1980, she went on to complete her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1984. This became her springboard into a thirty+ year career at American Airlines as a reservations, ticket and gate agent.
Through her work at AA Cathy met Victor Gonzales and the two were married in June of 2011. They established their home together in Arlington, TX.
Cathy was predeceased by her beloved Grandmother Elisabeth (Michels) Schwarz, Grandfather Franz Schwarz, Grandmother Katharina (Peter) Schwarz and Mother- and Father-in-law Margarita and Pedro Gonzales.
She is survived by her husband Victor, parents Nick and Hermine (Harfmann) Schwarz, brother Eric Schwarz, sister Nicole (Brian) Wehking, three nephews Samuel, Ryan, and Owen Wehking, her sisters- and brothers-in-law Pat (Becky) Gonzales, Julian (Ann) Gonzales, Martha (David) Mojica, Lupe (Joe) Hinojosa, Domingo (Tanya) Gonzales, Mario Gonzales, Greg (Dee) Gonzales and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cathy had many life passions, including animals (especially her pets), her favorite sports teams
(Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Texas Rangers), traveling the world and celebrating her heritage through the Donau Schwaben Society.
Viewing for her family, colleagues and friends in Texas will be held Wednesday June 14, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst, TX to honor Cathy and celebrate her life.
Funeral arrangements and Burial will be held in Cincinnati OH, at Niedhard-Minges funeral home and Old St. Joseph’s cemetery.
