Cathy Lynn Buttram

Cathy Lynne Buttram, age 61, was born November 23, 1954 in Ft. Worth, TX. She went to be with Jesus and to see her dad, Hugh O. Buttram, on March 3, 2016. Her dad, Hugh O. Buttram, was killed in the Joplin tornado, May of 2011.
Cathy is survived by her mother, Evelyn M. Buttram, of Baxter Springs, KS, 2 sisters, Lisa Satterfield and husband, Rev. Dallas R. Satterfield, Judith Rylee and husband, Mr. Tom Rylee, 4 nieces, Paige Giarrizzo, Morgan Meyers, Meredith Cunningham, Shannon Hachman, 1 nephew, Drew Satterfield, and her favorite uncle, Sims Buttram.
Cathy dealt with many challenges in her life because of Down's Syndrome. But, as her family, we would all agree that dear little “Cat” was a bright spot in our lives, always having a hug and a smile for everyone she met. Cathy loved the Lord and was a mighty Christian…a shining example to all around her. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
Burial: 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NDDS (National Down Syndrome Society) online memorial donation, Baxter Springs First Assembly of God Church, or the Gideon’s International.
