Cecilia Daffon Avestruz-Pedrosa, age 54, born July 13, 1968 in Toledo, Philippines and passed away September 19, 2022. She was born to Rodolfo and Braulia Avestruz.
She married her husband Lou Pedrosa on December 6, 2004. Grew up in the Philippines then immigrated to the United States with her husband and eldest daughter, Aliyah. She lived in Seattle Washington and Fort Worth Texas.
Cecilia had two bachelor degrees; the first one was obtained at Visayas State University and the second bachelors (specifically for Occupational Therapy) obtained at Cebu Doctors' University.
She participated in Toastmasters and National Board of Occupational Therapists (NBCOT). She remained a licensed Occupational Therapist even after she stopped working. She was an Occupational Therapist for over fifteen years.
Cecilia was very active in her church community at Seattle Alliance Bible Fellowship. Once the family moved to Texas, they attended Gateway Church in North Fort Worth. She was an Awana Leader for “Truth and Training” for 3rd to 6th graders and was a VIP Kid teacher for seven months in 2021.
She loved to sing on Smule, take pictures and videos of everything and anything, and was very involved in all her daughters extra curriculars. She never missed a performance of theirs up until her health deteriorated and COVID was prevalent.
She loved to cook--especially Filipino dishes filled with very hearty and leafy vegetables.
Cecilia is survived by her loving husband, Lou Pedrosa; daughters, Aliyah and Lila Pedrosa and her dog whom she loved, Milky.
Preceded in death by her father, Rodolfo Avestruz; brother-in-law, Lito Pedrosa, and best friend, Rhoda Lao-Villaflor
Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, September 21, 2022 at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main Street, Keller, Texas 76248. Final Resting Place will be Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, Seattle, Washington.
