Celesta Lajune Carroll

Celesta LaJune Carroll, 81, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at a Keller nursing home where she resided since October 2015. She was surrounded by the love of her family; her son, Bubba, was present with her and the hospice staff at the time of her death.
Service: Her family will have a private viewing and celebration of her life.
Celesta, who went by LaJune to her family and friends, was born in East Texas to Johnie and Myrtis Harvey on Aug. 5, 1934. She was the middle of seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Carroll; and sister, Margaret Coleman.
She grew up in east Texas. She married and had two children. She was a supportive mother, helping out as team mom, room mom, band mom, PTA member, snack provider and homework supporter. She loved to cook and provide for her family. She also enjoyed adventures with her kids, like spending time at the lake, dirt bike riding, and camping. After becoming a Mammaw, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow. She loved reading and traveling with her family. After she became ill in 2003, she spent time living with her daughter, at her ranch, and living with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren until moving into a nursing home for full-time care.
Her family will remember her smile, her pot roast, hot water cornbread, banana pudding, and fudge, spending time with her at family reunions, playing dominoes, drinking cokes, and eating chips and salsa.
She will be missed, never forgotten, and always loved.
Survivors: She is remembered and survived by her children, Celesta Stevens (Connor), Albert "Bubba" Lescovensky (Cheryl); granddaughter, Courtney Lescovensky; grandson, Matthew Lescovensky; brothers, Lindel Harvey, Curtis Harvey, Jay Harvey; sisters, Johnie Barney, Diann Neal; nieces; and nephews.
