HURST -- Charles A. Eaks Jr. passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015.
Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Hills Church, North Richland Hills. Viewing: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst.
Charles was born July 12, 1933, to Charlie and Nellie Eaks and raised in House, N.M. He married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Palmer, June 6, 1954, in McAlister, N.M. Charles and Jeanne were married 61 years and had three children and three grandchildren.
Charles attended New Mexico A&M in Las Cruces and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering. His first job after college was with General Dynamics in Fort Worth where he had a long and distinguished 35-year career as an electronics engineer. After taking early retirement, Charles and Jeanne built their dream home in Cloudcroft, N.M., in 1996 where they spent glorious summers in the mountains with new friends and winters back home in Texas.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Eaks.
Survivors: Charles is survived by his wife, Jeanne Eaks; sons, Gregory Martin Eaks and wife, Donna, Charles Alan Eaks and spouse, Alberto Senior, Douglas Grant Eaks; grandsons, Dane Eaks, Simon Senior-Eaks and Gabriel Senior-Eaks; brother, Jim Eaks and wife, Carolyn; nephews, Eric Eaks and Chris Kimble; and many other extended family and friends.
