Charles Phillips Hamner

Charles “Charlie” Phillips Hamner was born on August 15, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Clyde Franklin and Reba Jeanette (Western) Hamner. Charlie entered into his heavenly home on December 17, 2018 at the age of 81 years . He retired from Oncor Electric after 47 years of service. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his wife, Jeri. Charlie and Jeri also loved to square dance. He was a wonderful man, husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Jeri Hamner of Bedford, Texas; beloved daughter, Charlsa Hamner of Plano, Texas; sisters, Claudine White and husband Orlie of California and Mary Baynham of Tyler, Texas; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Smith and husband, Kenneth of Odessa, Texas and Cece Mabry and husband, Scott of San Antonio, Texas.

The family will receive friends and visitors beginning at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 27, 2018 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M., at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel located at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053 with interment at Bourland Cemetery with Dr. Chuck Stevenson officiating.

Pallbearers are Scott Mabry, Rodney Jones, Joseph Pavlik, Gary Breakall, and Mark Smith.
